As a small remark: cashocs now supports ufl\_legacy with the PR [Add compatibility for ufl 2023 and ufl\_legacy by sblauth · Pull Request #364 · sblauth/cashocs · GitHub](https://github.com/sblauth/cashocs/pull/364)

If you require this functionality, you can clone the cashocs repository from github and install it locally from the main branch.
