# Unable to specify BC on the mesh in .inp format

You don’t have any subdomain information extracted into your mesh. In fact you have commented out the `cell_data` field that is _required_ to get information about subdomains/boundaries which you can then pass on to `MeshValueCollection`/`MeshFunction` and so on…
