Problem installing additional python libraries on docker image Dolfinx/Dolfinx

Hello,

I am trying to create a personalised version of the dolfinx/dolfinx docker image with additional python packages installed via pip.

My Dockerfile is the following :

FROM dolfinx/dolfinx

RUN mkdir WORK_REPO
RUN cd WORK_REPO
WORKDIR /WORK_REPO

ADD main.py .
ADD requirements.txt .

RUN python3 -c "import sys; print('\n'.join(sys.path))"

CMD ["python3", "-u", "main.py"]

the image builds and runs hello-world python3 script without problem, but i get the following error with pip :

docker run -it --rm hello_world_lepage bash

This pip error doesn’t appear with the dolfinx/lab image or with normal python:3 image.

does anyone have a solution to this problem ?

thanks in advance.
