Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble installing legacy FEniCS (version 2019.1.0). I tried going the Docker route (to no avail) so I thought going the Ubuntu route would be more productive - not so!
I tried executing the following commands in the terminal
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fenics-packages/fenics
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fenics
However, once I got to the second command, a very long error message was printed to the console (I can share this if its helpful). I then tried updating my system and running the above commands again. Predictably, I got another long error message.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
