How does the resolution parameter change the behavior of mesh generation in mshr? Is there a physical representation e.g. the average size of the generated cells?

Mshr is long deprecated, and it is adviced to use other software. All the old maintainers of it has moved on to other software, so very few people knows what is happening under the hood
