Obtaining the strain-displacement matrix

Hi,

I am trying to calculate the strain-displacement matrix (referred to as matrix B in literature) for a 3D elasticity problem.

Normally B is defined as:
B = DN

where D is the differential matrix:
31

and N is the shape function matrix:
59

Resulting in:
50

Does anyone know how I can obtain N and D in the correct shapes in order to calculate B?
Or if there are any other ways of calculating the matrix B without using the above?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
D
