Remember: in addition to a regular talk or poster, participants may submit a second abstract for the software showcase session to demonstrate the FEniCS‑based software package they would like to share with the community.
We are also pleased to offer travel awards to support attendees who require financial assistance, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, Flax & Teal Limited and the d’Alembert Institute at Sorbonne Université. Priority will be given to junior students, early‑career researchers, and applicants from countries with less developed research infrastructure. Due to the high volume of submissions, we have adopted a shorter 10-minute presentation format. We understand that this condensed format may not be suitable for every contribution, so delegates who submitted a presentation have been given the option to change the format of their participation. Please check your email and let us know of any requested changes by April 30, 2026.
Please also note that the number of places is limited, so we strongly encourage all participants who submitted an abstract to register for the conference as soon as possible in order to secure their place. We are excited to announce that the conference will begin in just one week!
In this message, we would like to highlight some important information.
We kindly ask all participants to fill in the form as soon as possible in order to confirm the name and affiliation to be printed on their badge (please check your email).
The conference dinner will take place at Bofinger at 20:00 on Thursday, 18 June.

All participants are welcome to attend the optional Advanced Tutorial Session on the morning of Wednesday, 17 June. More details are available in the conference programme.
For participants giving a talk, poster, or software demonstration:
Presentation sessions: due to the high volume of submissions, we have adopted a shorter 10-minute presentation format. The full 15-minute slot includes time for questions and speaker changeover. We kindly ask you to be mindful of the other participants and keep your presentation concise so that everyone has equal time to present. A timer visible to both the audience and the speaker will be used to help keep the sessions on schedule.
Poster session: please bring your poster in A1 or A2 portrait format. Mounting materials will be provided on site.
Software session: please bring your own laptop to demonstrate your FEniCS-based software to small groups. These software demonstrations will take place at the same time as the poster session.
Poster & Software sessions: blitz! Since last year, we have included a short overview session of all posters, the Poster Blitz. This year, it will also include software demonstrations for participants who are not giving a talk. Each participant presenting a poster or software demonstration will have a maximum of 1 minute to introduce their work at the end of the second session on the first day (17:15–17:30). The full list of participants who must prepare a one-minute blitz presentation can be found in the scientific programme (after Session 2).
Four participants will receive awards ($$$) in the following categories: Best Presentation by a PhD Candidate, Best Presentation by a Postdoctoral Researcher, Best FEniCS 2026 Poster, and Exceptional Visualization. More information, including the evaluation criteria, is available on the conference website.
