Can Fenicsx be used for hyperbolic PDEs?

I’m trying to convince my research group to let me use Fenicsx to solve a hyperbolic PDE. Specifically, I want to simulate the scattering of electromagnetic waves off of biological tissue. My group is under the impression that Fenicsx is not suited for hyperbolic problems. Are they right? If not, are there any examples of similar things that you could point me to? Thank you!

Check out these demos from the docs:
Electromagnetic scattering from a wire with scattering boundary conditions
Electromagnetic scattering from a wire with perfectly matched layer condition
Electromagnetic scattering from a sphere (axisymmetric)

and as @nav states there are demos for EM.
