If you are new to FEniCS it is recommended to use FEniCSx.

The new DOLFINx solver is now recommended over DOLFIN

In April 2022 we released versions of the new FEniCS Project components; DOLFINx (v0.4.1) , FFCx (v0.4.2), Basix (v0.4.1) and UFL (2022.1.0.post0). That being said, FEniCS itself is not a meshing software. I would recommend using GMSH to generate the mesh. There are many examples of yhis in the dolfinx documentation Mesh generation with Gmsh — DOLFINx 0.7.3 documentation
