Solving of Systems

Dear all,

i want to compute the plate equation to find out the eigenvalues of the PDE and then use the result to get a resonating state of the plate.
So far i was able to do exactly that with the wave equation.
Now i had the idea to replace the variational problem with a system. The new system just reduces the order of my equation, so i can use H1 elements.
My question is, if Fenics can solve a system in the form of A = SMV where A is a vector, S is a scalar, M a matzrix and V a vector.

Hi, sorry but your question is very vague. Can you be more precise about what you want to do and write the PDE or weak form you want to solve ?
